From May 24 – July 30, the Hospitality and Restaurant Management Internship in Greece places you inside leading luxury resorts where world-class service is the daily standard. Over ten weeks, you will complete 40 internship hours per week (total of 350 internship hours), taking on real responsibilities and working with ultra high-end guests from around the world. You won’t just be observing—you’ll be part of the team, learning how top-tier resorts operate from the inside.
Although this program is especially designed for those interested in Hospitality and Restaurant Management, students from all majors are welcome to apply. Because luxury resorts rely on a wide range of expertise, there may also be opportunities to gain exposure to areas such as human resources, administration, marketing, and guest relations, depending on placement and operational needs.
This internship is built around immersive, hands-on learning. You will be placed in real roles within luxury resort operations, serving actual guests and collaborating with professional staff. That may include areas such as:
Front-of-house operations, where you learn how to welcome and support demanding, high-end clientele.
Food and beverage or restaurant service, where timing, quality, and attention to detail must be flawless.
Guest experience and concierge-style roles, where you help craft personalized stays for international travelers.
By working full-time hours (40 hours per week), you will quickly move beyond surface-level tasks. You will see how decisions are made in real time, how departments coordinate under pressure, and what it takes to uphold a consistent standard of excellence day after day. This kind of practical exposure helps you understand whether a career in hospitality, tourism, events, or service management aligns with your strengths and ambitions.
Your learning does not stop at the resort entrance. Throughout the internship, selected days will feature cultural immersion activities and volunteering with local NGOs, giving you the chance to experience Greece’s culture, communities, and everyday life beyond the luxury environment of the hotel. You might find yourself exploring historic neighborhoods, participating in local events, or supporting community initiatives alongside Greek staff and residents.
You will also be immersed in Greek daily life—from navigating local shops and cafés to observing how families, small businesses, and tourism professionals interact. This day-to-day experience helps you develop intercultural competence, including greater cultural awareness, adaptability, and ease in communicating across language and cultural differences, skills that are highly valued in hospitality, tourism, and global business.
As you learn about Greek customs, traditions, and social norms, you will begin to see how culture shapes guest expectations, definitions of excellent service, work styles, and team dynamics. These insights encourage you to think more deeply about what it means to offer truly guest-centered, culturally sensitive service in diverse settings, and to carry that perspective into your future studies and career.
These experiences give you space to reflect on what you’ve learned on the job, connect with peers from different backgrounds, and build a more global mindset—one that will serve you in hospitality and restaurant management, business, and any internationally oriented career path.

Are curious, adaptable, and excited to learn in a new cultural and professional setting, working directly with international guests and multicultural teams.
While the program especially targets students interested in hospitality and restaurant management, students from any academic background are welcome to apply as long as they meet the requirements and have a genuine interest in hospitality, tourism, or global service industries.

Concrete examples and stories you can draw on in interviews, cover letters, and personal statements when explaining why you want to pursue a career in hospitality, tourism, business, or service management.

This program is designed to challenge you academically, inspire you personally, and prepare you professionally—while you experience one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Academically, you are pushed to move beyond textbooks, lectures, and case studies into real hospitality environments, where you watch experienced professionals apply service, management, and leadership principles with real guests and real business pressures. You learn to ask better questions about guest experience, operations, and team dynamics, connect what you see in the resort to concepts you’ve studied in class, and reflect critically on what kind of hospitality or business professional you hope to become.
On a personal level, living and working in Greece over the summer invites you to step outside your comfort zone, adapt to a new culture, and navigate a different language and daily rhythm. You gain confidence as you interact with international guests, collaborate with colleagues from around the world, and build relationships with local staff—discovering more about your own strengths, values, and resilience along the way.
Professionally, you leave with meaningful, documented internship experience in a world-class, high-end resort, a deeper understanding of how hospitality operations function, and concrete stories you can share in interviews, cover letters, and personal statements. You also build intercultural skills—such as communicating across cultural differences, anticipating diverse guest expectations, and respecting different approaches to service and work—that are increasingly essential in global hospitality and service-focused careers.
All of this unfolds against the backdrop of Greece’s coastline, islands, and historic cities, giving you space to reflect, recharge, and see your future in hospitality, tourism, or business from a wider, more global perspective.
